All suppliers of goods which are used in the final product or suppliers of goods which are resold are audited for environmental considerations. We strive to have suppliers who are ISO14001 certified, but demand as a minimum that our suppliers take responsibility for the environment. In case a supplier does not take responsibility for the environment, we must try to find alternative suppliers, in order to obtain an eco-friendly final product. Moreover, it is important for LBH that our suppliers comply with REACH.
Comply with current legislation
We must abide by current legislation. In order to keep ourselves informed of the current legislation, we have signed up for newsletters from Environmental Forum Funen (Miljøforum Fyn), Ecoline, The Danish Working Environment Authority (Arbejdstilsynet) and Ministry of Environment and Food of Denmark. All laws and demands from authorities are noted in binding obligations, which are evaluated at least one’s a year to verify that we still meet all demands. In case a legal requirement brings up concerns within the organization, a relevant employee will be selected to attend a course.
During the auditing of suppliers we ensure that they comply with the demands of REACH, in this way LBH itself also abides by these rules. We check and ensure that materials and chemicals listed on the candidate list are not present in our products.
Ensure that demands from stakeholders are respected
We have conducted a stake-holder analysis, and analyzed demands and requirements of the stake-holders. LBH seek to accommodate demands from all the stake-holders. Demands from stake-holders are analyzed yearly in a rapport for the management, in order to ensure that all demands are respected.
